Rover, ranger carnival begins
Basavaraj Horatti, the Chairman of legislative council, inaugurated the National Rover/Ranger Carnival organized by Bharat Scouts and Guides Karnataka-Belagavi. The carnival will be held at Jain Heritage School in Belagavi from December 21-25, with participation from over 1,000 students from 14 states. Speaking at the inaugural function, Horatti emphasized the importance of Scouts and Guides training in teaching discipline and dedicated service. PGR Sindhia, the state chief commissioner of BSG Karnataka, highlighted the service education aspect of Scouts and Guides training and shared examples of children making masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several dignitaries, including Surekha Shrivastava and Dr. BHM Darukesh, were present at the event.

Kanpur Cricketers defeated Winners Club by 8 wickets in the second semifinal of the Dinesh Mishra Memorial cricket tournament at Palika stadium. They will now face Rovers Club in the finals.
