Noida: As visibility drops due to fog, the CT scan machine at the District Combined Hospital (DCH) in Sector 39 will now be operational round-the-clock, including at night. The move aims to reduce the long wait times for accident victims seeking CT scans at the hospital.
The director general of medical and health facilities in Lucknow had written to the chief medical officers and superintendents of all government facilities to ensure that CT scan machines established under PPP mode work at night, too.
The CMO office in Gautam Budh Nagar has asked the DCH — the only government facility with a CT scan machine in the district — to follow the directions and display the names and mobile numbers of the technicians who operate the machines. The hospital and government-run community health centres should also prepare to handle accident cases at night and prioritise such patients, it has added. tnn
