Prayagraj: A new incremental traffic of small cargo running (NMG) services between New Rewari of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) to New Deen Dayal Upadhyay of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) is being introduced from Friday. Starting of the new service will boost traffic services in cargo in the Eastern belt of India and will grab more traffic from small scale industries.Meanwhile, director operational and business development of dedicated freight corridor corporation of India (DFCCI) , Nanduri Srinivas visited the Prayagraj based office of EDFC and conducted a safety review meeting.tnn

KSRTC launches cargo services
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has launched Namma Cargo services to enter the logistics business and generate non-fare box revenue. In the first phase, KSRTC will operate 20 trucks carrying goods across districts like Bengaluru, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Hassan, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Kolar, and Davanagere. The utility plans to add 500 trucks to its fleet within a year. Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy announced the addition of 100 trucks to the fleet within a month. The Basaveshwara Bus Terminal in Peenya will be fully utilized for this purpose.
