Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University to Award Medals and Startup Awards at Convocation | Lucknow News – Times of India

Lucknow: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University will be awarding 95 gold, silver and bronze medals to its meritorious students during the convocation ceremony on Tuesday.
As many as 39 golds, 27 silver and bronze medals each will be awarded to high scoring students while 49,452 degrees will be conferred on the occasion.
Also, the University will give a cash award of Rs 31,000 to the Chancellor Gold medal winner.The best-performing student in sports and the best start-up by students will get Rs 31,000. “The cash award being given to our students has been sponsored by Bank of Baroda. This convocation is special as 75% of the total medals have been won by female students and for the first time over 100 PhDs will be awarded to students,” said AKTU vice-chancellor Prof JP Pandey.
He said that also for the first time to motivate students to be job generators University’s innovation hub will confer awards for best startups in three categories. We had invited applications from young entrepreneurs and a panel will select the best ones from the entries received. An award for best women-led startup, best social impact and best tech innovation startup will be awarded on the occasion.
“For the best woman-led startup award, it is necessary to have a woman director in the startup company with a 25% stake. At the same time, the best social impact award will be selected for the startup company working in social areas like health, Indian language, education,” said VC.

Altogether 1,072 students will be awarded degree at NIT-Patna convocation
The 12th convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT-P) will be held on December 24. A total of 1,072 students graduated from the Institute during the academic session 2022-23 will be awarded a degree in the convocation. Ashok Kumar Modi, Chairperson, Board of Governors, will oversee the ceremony, while Prof Pradip Kumar Jain, Director and Senate Chairman, NIT Patna, will present a report on the institute’s progress. Arun Kumar Sinha, IAS (retired), former addl Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh and Dr Shailesh Kumar Srivastava, Former Chairman, Krishna River Management Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti, will be awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Institute, Prof Jain said.
Nominees dropped for best couple at the 2023 MBC Drama Awards
The 2023 MBC Drama Awards has announced the nominees for the Best Couple award.
