Lucknow: Education is the bedrock of the progress of an individual and society as it empowers one and fuels positive change in the world, Sunni cleric Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali said on Sunday.
Speaking at a programme, ‘Importance of Education’, organized by an NGO ‘Hum Maati Ke Log’, the cleric said: “Acquiring knowledge is the duty of every individual and people should take advantage of schemes related to education.It’s the key that unlocks opportunities, empowers individuals, and fuels positive change in the world. Its importance is multifaceted and far-reaching, impacting our lives in many ways.”
“It opens doors to better career prospects and higher earning potential. It equips individuals with the skills required to secure rewarding jobs and contribute meaningfully to the economy,” Farangi Mahali, who was the guest of honour, said.
Chief guest Justice Shamim Ahmed said, “I am happy that the society organized this program to stress on the importance of education and gave me the opportunity to participate in it.” He also discussed many points regarding the importance of education.
President of ‘Hum Maati Ke Log’ Asad Umar cited the contributions made to the society by the NGO from time to time. Students who excelled in different competitive examinations – Rashida Khatoon, Maryam Rizvi, Hanifa Obaid, Aryan Tariq, and Qazi Ahmed Raza – were felicitated on the occasion.
