Lucknow: Malviya Mission Teacher Training Centre of the Lucknow University organized an online refresher course in psychology and physical education.
It was a two-week online course but the lectures were live and participants had to attend full-time. The theme of the course was ‘Capacity building among higher education teachers in the light of NEP-2020’.
In the inaugural session, Prof Harikesh Singh from Banaras Hindu University presented the topic ‘Continuing professional development of teachers in higher education in India as per the expectations of NEP-2020’.

Teachers from government-run engineering and pharmacy colleges oppose conditions for leave under state government’s QIP. QIP allows teachers to pursue higher education, granting leave for MTech, MPharm, and PhD. Eligibility: completion of 5 years as permanent faculty. Teachers selected must sign a bond to work for college for 5 years. Teachers demand removal of bond rule, equal treatment as NIT and IIT teachers.
