Six Juveniles Escape From Shelter Home | Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Half a dozen inmates of the government shelter home for juveniles in conflict with law, located at Patankar chowk, escaped after thrashing the caretaker and the security guard on Sunday morning. The escapees were aged around 17.
On Sunday, the authorities at the juvenile home allowed the inmates to step out in the courtyard around 11.30 am. The inmates confronted the guards and started thrashing them.
Overpowering the guard having the keys, the six managed to sneak away. The juvenile home housed 15 minors before the incident happened.
The cops have started search for the minors and alerted the railway police as well as local police stations. Searches were conducted at bus stops, autorickshaw stands and other such places. Meanwhile, photographs of the escapees have been circulated in police groups.
This is the second such incident with the first one reported at the government shelter home under the women and child development department of the state government last week.
Two minors were sexually exploited by five others. The Kapil Nagar police station, which had registered an offence of sexual exploitation, have now registered an offence of kidnapping.
