‘We are united’: Nitish Kumar on rumours of rift in JD(U) | Patna News – Times of India

PATNA: Dismissing rumors of unrest within the JD(U), Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar asserted on Monday that all was well in his party, and members were collaboratively working to fulfill the commitments made to the people of the state.
Speaking to reporters at an event organized to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 99th birth anniversary, Kumar refuted claims of dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the recent opposition INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi.He expressed confidence that seat-sharing arrangements would be finalized soon.
Addressing speculations of turmoil within the JD(U) as reported by a section of the media, citing BJP leaders, Kumar stated, “All members of our party are united, and everything is in order. I don’t pay much attention to what BJP leaders say about us. Let them say what they want; it holds no value. Our primary focus is on the overall development of the state, and we have undertaken numerous developmental initiatives for Bihar’s growth.”
“We had committed to providing 10 lakh government jobs to the youth of Bihar. I want to clarify that we will soon achieve this target. The Mahagathbandhan government has already delivered around five lakh government jobs,” asserted the Chief Minister. He emphasized the visibility of the Mahagathbandhan government’s initiatives.
Kumar dispelled reports of his dissatisfaction with the INDIA bloc meeting, stating, “I have consistently maintained that I harbor no personal desires. My sole objective is to unite the maximum number of parties ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, and I am working diligently in that direction.”
