Ludhiana: A woman was allegedly assaulted for raising objections to her neighbours’ dog defecating outside her house in Royal City Colony of Kohara area, Koom Kalan police said on Sunday.
The woman claimed that the accused had argued with her over the same issue earlier as well.
The complainant, Archana Singh, 38, has named her neighbour Prince, his mother and accomplice Aditya as accused.
The woman told the police said that the accused used to make their dog defecate in front of the main gate of her house. “I objected multiple times, but they never listened and even argued with me,” she added.
She said on December 17, when she was cleaning the exterior of her house, the accused turned up and thrashed her badly before fleeing.
ASI Jagpal Singh, who is the investigating officer in the case, said after probing the matter, they have registered an FIR against the accused under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused have yet to be arrested, he added.
