LUDHIANA: Khanna Police on Monday arrested two brothers for attempt to murder after one of them allegedly fired at the manager of a tavern near Bhadla village of Khanna. The arrested accused were identified as Rahul and his brother Deepak of Mandi Gobindgarh.
Sources said that Rahul came to the tavern near Bhadla Chowk in Khanna around 11pm on Sunday night. While he was drinking, an argument took place over food. When tavern workers gathered, Rahul called his brother Deepak, who came in a car and opened fire with his licensed revolver.
Police said that the incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed at the tavern. They added that the siblings were also seen vandalising the premises. DSP Khanna Rajesh Kumar said that Sadar police station booked the accused, Rahul and Deepak in the attempt to murder case. They were arrested. tnn
