BJP got Ram temple built after absolute majority: Fadnavis | Pune News – Times of India

Pune: Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said after getting absolute majority, BJP had fulfilled its promise to build Ram Mandir and remove Article 370 from the Constitution.
“People used to tease us over the date of Ram temple‘s inauguration. They should now come to Ayodhya and see how the temple is built. The dream of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee to build a grand temple has been fulfilled by PM Narendra Modi,” he said.
Fadnavis was speaking during a ceremony to confer Atal Sanskruti Gaurav Award on vocalist Prabha Atre and industrialist Pramod Chaudhari at Balgandharva auditorium in the city. The programme was organised to celebrate the birth anniversary of Vajpayee.
Fadnavis said, “Vajpayee had laid the foundation of the new-age India by building a strong network of roads and connecting villages and cities. He also took the courageous decision to conduct a nuclear test, strengthening the country’s image globally.”
‘No need to panic over Covid variant’
Fadnavis on Monday said there was no need to panic over the new of Covid variant. “People should take due precautions. The government is keeping a close watch on the situation,” he said.

BJP Odisha awarded Atal Samman-2023 to three individuals, including Khirod Prasad Swain, Dr Biswanath Patnaik, and Smarapriya Mishra. Other BJP members in the state also paid tribute to Vajpayee at various locations.

Former Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur praised Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s good governance and the Modi government’s efforts to continue his path. Thakur participated in the ‘Good Governance Day’ programme and paid tribute to Vajpayee. He highlighted Vajpayee’s establishment of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes for the welfare of underprivileged communities. Thakur also mentioned Vajpayee’s government conducting nuclear tests in Pokhran to strengthen national security and Modi government’s surgical strikes on terrorists.
