Court Asks Jda For Response On Converting Jln Marg Park | Jaipur News – Times of India

Jaipur: Following a writ petition from the locals, the high court on Friday asked Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) to file a written reply on the civic body’s decision to convert a park on JLN Marg in Malviya Nagar into a private hospital.
This public park was constructed in 2015 and is serving residents of at least nine adjacent colonies.
“We demanded that the court stop the government from changing the plot’s character,” said Uma Sharma, president of Adi Nath Colony Residents’ Welfare Association, who challenged JDA’s decision.
In September, a team of residents led by MLA of Malviya Nagar Kalicharan Saraf met JDA chairman Joga Ram and lodged a formal complaint against the civic body’s decision.
“The civic body has taken a ‘wait-and-watch’ stance until the cabinet is formed,” a JDA official said.
