BENGALURU: A gym trainer fell to his death from the terrace of a four-storey apartment Sunday midnight.
Police are investigating if it was an accidental fall or if Ganesh Panda, 32, who was living at his elder sister’s flat on Haralur Road-Sarjapur Road, killed himself.
Sources said Panda, who worked as a trainer at a gym on Hosa Road, climbed the terrace of another block and consumed alcohol before falling at 11.30pm.Security guards and other residents of the apartment heard a loud thud and rushed to the spot, only to find Panda lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
“A liquor bottle, cigarette pack, snacks and his mobile phone were found on the terrace. Panda was upset over some issues. He hardly interacted with the other residents. There were complaints about him consuming alcohol on the apartment terrace regularly,” an officer said.
Police have not found any suicide note. “There are no witnesses, so we’re awaiting the autopsy report to know the percentage of alcohol in his blood. A case of unnatural death has been registered based on the complaint filed by his sister,” the officer added.
