Ludhiana: Arrest of a woman who attacked assistant sub inspector (ASI) Abinash Rai with her son on December 22 led to high-octane drama at Daba police station on Sunday night. Her relatives reached the police station and tried to take her away by force. Police had to use force to control the situation.
On December 22, Daba police booked Sunita and her son Arman Soni for attacking a policeman and vandalising a PCR motorcycle.Sub-inspector Kulbir Singh, SHO, Daba police station said that on December 22, police received a complaint that the mother and son had created ruckus in New Azad Nagar.
After a fight with their neighbour, they allegedly pelted stones and bricks at their house. A PCR squad reached the spot on receiving information and tried to pacify the mother and son. However, they allegedly misbehaved with the police.

An ex-serviceman, Jagdeep Singh, was arrested by Jodhan police for the murder of his neighbor, Shingara Singh. The incident occurred due to a drain-related issue. Gurmeet Kaur, the wife of the deceased, stated that the accused attacked her husband with an iron rod, resulting in his death. Shingara Singh, a former military and police officer, had frequently fought with Jagdeep Singh over the drain. The police registered a murder case against the accused and made the arrest.
