Last Date To Apply For Film City Development Extended Till Jan 5 | – Times of India

Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Monday extended the deadline for submission of global bids for the Film City project in Sector 21 to January 5.
Officials said the deadline was extended at the request of companies, citing the Christmas and the New Year holidays.
This is the fourth time in the past month that the deadline for submission of the bids has been extended.YEIDA issued the tender for the third time on September 30 for Film City’s development, operation, and maintenance through a public-private partnership.
Though the initial deadline for the submission of bids was November 30, it was rescheduled to December 15, December 22, December 26, and now January 5. Firms will have to submit technical bids by 2.30pm. These will be opened the same day at 5pm.
Unlike the previous two tenders that aimed to develop the entire project on a 1,000-acre parcel at once, this time the Authority reduced the size of the project, allocating 230 acres for the initial phase of development. Out of this, 75 acres have been earmarked for commercial space and 155 acres for the core industrial development (film studios and related units). The concession period was also extended from 60 to 90 years, compared to the previous bid.
During the pre-bid meeting on October 26, officials from 19 domestic and international companies, including notable figures from the film industry like filmmaker KC Bokadia, Milap Kapoor, director of T-series, Jitendra Chhabra, an official of Vipul D Shah’s film company, representatives of Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, and a representative from the Korean company Securo Group, expressed interest in the project.
