Gurgaon: A 33-year-old woman filed a police complaint against her husband, alleging he physically assaulted her in public outside a club in Sector 29, where she was celebrating her birthday on Sunday night, according to the police. The couple had been living separately, cops added.
The complainant, Renu Gill, resides in Smriti Apartment in Sector 56. She said that her husband, who had arrived at the party without an invitation, was heavily intoxicated.She alleged that he hurled abuses at her, threatened her, and even slapped their 7-year-old son. He snatched the woman’s cousin’s phone and slapped her before fleeing with his son in a car.
“My husband accompanied my son, Samarth, and my cousin to the club. He repeatedly slapped me outside the elevator in front of everyone and subjected me to verbal abuse and threats both inside and outside the club. His aggression didn’t spare our son and my cousin, who was present at the scene, as he was completely intoxicated during the entire ordeal,” stated Gill in her complaint.
“He took my son and cousin to the car, forcibly took my cousin’s phone, and beat her on the road. He then abandoned my cousin at an unknown location and fled with my son. As of now, he is missing with my son,” she added.
An FIR was registered under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at the DLF police station on Sunday.
