Teen Dies after Consuming Pesticide in Kota | Latest News | Jaipur News – Times of India

Kota: A 17-year-old boy died after consuming pesticide in Kota on late Sunday night. The police handed over the body to family members after post-mortem on Monday morning and lodged a case of suspected death under section 174 of CrPC.
The deceased teen was identified as Lalit Kavet (17), resident of Sinota village under Khatoli police station in Kota district.He was a college dropout and was working with his father in an agriculture field. Lalit, his two sisters and mother had gone to bed after dinner on Sunday night around 8pm while his father left for the field to guard the crops when he allegedly consumed pesticide from a vial, placed in his home, ASI at Khatoli police station Shivraj Singh told. After some time, Lalit started vomiting following which he was rushed to a local hospital in Etawa, where doctors referred him to MBS hospital in Kota. The teen reportedly died during treatment around 12am. It is yet to be ascertained if it was suicide or accident as his family members were not ready to say anything and no suicide note was recovered from his place, the ASI said. tnn
