Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi are all set to share screen space together in director Sriram Raghavan‘s upcoming thriller Merry Christmas. In her recent interview, Katrina expressed her dilemma about whether she should be addressing Vijay as ‘sir’ or not.
Recalling an incident where she and her husband Vicky Kaushal were trying to figure out the solution, Katrina told Pinkvilla that she was talking to Vicky and she addressed Vijay as Vijay sir. And Vicky said, ‘Aap Vijay sir bulate hain? (You call him Vijay sir?)’ And she replied saying that sometimes she does and sometimes she doesn’t.
Katrina then asked Vijay who was sitting on the same panel whether she should call him Vijay or Vijay sir. When the crowd started making noise on the question, Katrina further revealed that she and Vicky even googled Vijay’s age to decide on the same.

Vijay immediately interrupted her by announcing his age, ’44.’ Katrina then continued, “We thought we’ll decide, umar ke hisab se (as per his age.) I don’t know, I’m confused.” Vijay then took over and said that actors generally call each other sir or brother out of mutual respect and then added, “You can call me Vijay, Hi Vijay, Hey Vijay. Kuch bhi chalega (Anything will work).”

A few days ago, the film’s trailer was released and it left everyone intrigued. Going by the trailer of Merry Christmas, director Sriram Raghavan has put his signature spin on the traditional structure of romance, as suspense, seduction and surprise await the audience.
