Bengaluru: A 48-year-old man was charred to death after his SUV caught fire in Anchepalya on Tumakuru Road Tuesday. Anil Kumar, a realtor, was returning home from Nelamangala when the SUV caught fire.
Kumar tried to come out of Maruti Suzuki XL6 Smart Hybrid Zeta — brought only a few months ago — but couldn’t open the door or break open the window glass before the flames spread.The SUV was gutted and he was charred to death.
Two die on NICE Road
Two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries when their car rammed into a parked truck in the wee hours of Tuesday on NICE Road.
The deceased are Manjunath, 55, and Anil, 23, and injured are Manjunath’s wife Hemalatha, 47, daughter Kruthika, 21, and son Prajwal, 22. The family was returning to Bengaluru from Udupi. Manjunath was driving the car, while Anil was sitting next to him. tnn
