Mumbai: At least 11 persons including four women were rescued after a fire broke out on Wednesday in the AC unit of an imitation jewellery store on the first floor of the ground plus three storey Acme Shopping Centre on Jain Mandir Road in Malad West at around 6.50 pm .
However, no injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished by 9.22 pm. At least three shops located on the first floor were gutted as the shopping complex lacked a firefighting system of its own.Following the incident, buses on route 243, A620, A621, A622, A626 plying from Anand Road via Kasturba Road to SV Road were reversed from Anand Road to SV Road, an official from BEST said.
