Hry for IAS promotion to HCS officers charged with forgery
The Haryana government has recommended the names of HCS officers from the 2002 batch, who are facing forgery charges, for promotion to the IAS post, despite the office of legal remembrancer (LR) advising against it. The state issued integrity certificates to these officers based on the opinion of the advocate general (AG). However, the LR office highlighted that the officers were selected through forgery and should not be issued integrity certificates. The controversy surrounds the recently charged officers, while there are no issues with the 2004 batch officers.
