Jaipur: Due to flight diversions and delayed take off thereafter, many passengers complained that they missed connecting flights to international destinations.
In the past two days, around 20 flights were diverted to Jaipur airport after which passengers complained that they had to wait at the airport for hours due to poor communication from airline companies.Due to fog in the northern part of the country, take off of several flights from original destination was delayed and diversions added to it.
Passengers said that they were not given proper information by airline officials and were made to wait at the Jaipur airport.
On Friday morning, Purabi Bhagabati, a passenger, who was stranded at the Jaipur airport took to social media platform X and said, “Endless suffering due to Air India. We missed our flight from Delhi to Dublin because Air India dropped us at Jaipur airport. Now, we are stranded. We came to Delhi and the staff really didn’t bother.”
“My six-year-old got sick and was nearly stamped on by the unruly crowd of passengers. We got no help from anyone. We lost huge money and was stranded in India.” she added. Another passenger Utpal Medhi shared on X that his Delhi bound flight on Thursday was diverted to Jaipur and complained that arrangements by the airlines were poor.

Officials from Jaipur International Airport said that in the wee hours of Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s flight from Nagpur to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur due to poor weather conditions in the national capital. Gandhi waited for a few hours in the VIP lounge of the airport after which he took a passenger flight on Friday morning to reach Delhi.
