BENGALURU: On New Year’s Eve, Namma Metro services will be available till 2.15am. The last train will leave all terminals at 1.30am on January 1.
During the extended hours, the trains will operate at a frequency of 15 minutes. The last trains will leave Majestic Interchange in all four directions at 2.15am.
As per a police advisory, MG Road station will be closed at 11pm to ensure safety of commuters.Passengers can use Cubbon Park and Trinity stations to travel during the extended hours. For the return journey from Trinity and Cubbon Park stations after 11pm, passengers can use smart cards, NCMC cards, QR tickets and paper tickets in lieu of tokens. Return journey tickets (paper tickets) can be purchased in advance after 8pm at any station and are valid for entry only at Trinity and Cubbon Park stations after 11pm.
BMRCL has advised commuters travelling towards Whitefield (Kadugodi) to use Trinity station and those headed towards Challaghatta, Nagasandra and Silk Institute to use Cubbon Park station.
