Belagavi: A youth died on the spot after his bike collided with a road divider on Belagavi College Road on Monday morning. The victim was identified as Pankaj, 24, of Macche village of Belagavi taluk. He sustained grievous injuries when his bike lost control and hit the divider, police said. Another youth, who sustained minor injuries, is being treated. A case has been registered at Khade Bazar police station.

Food delivery boy dies as BEST bus hits bike
A 22-year-old delivery boy was killed after his bike was hit by a speeding BEST bus in Marol. The deceased, Saurabh Aiyre, had recently started working for an online food delivery app. The bus driver, Rupesh Dahiwade, was arrested and charged with rash driving and causing death by negligence. Saurabh was on his way to deliver an order when the bus collided with his bike. He fell on the road and was run over by the bus. The incident occurred near Marol Metro station and Saurabh was pronounced dead at SevenHills Hospital.
