3 Riding A Bike Killed In Head-on Collision With Speeding Vehicle | Patna News – Times of India

Bhagalpur: Three friends riding a motorcycle died on the spot in a head-on collision with a speeding vehicle, most likely a dumper, on Kadwa road in Naugachia police district in the wee hours of Sunday, superintendent of police (SP) Sushant Kumar Saroj said.
Low visibility due to severe fog in the small hours in the riverine locality is said to be the cause of the head-on collision, even as it is suspected that the deceased could have been under the influence of liquor.
According to police sources, Prince Kumar Mandal (24), Sukesh Kumar Rai (20) and Sooraj Kumar Mandal (19), were returning to their homes after attending the birthday party of a common friend at Harnathchak locality under Gopalpur police station in Naugachia when they met with accident.
A night patrol police party recovered the bodies, said sources, adding the accident was so severe that the bodies were found bundled together. The police patrolling team identified the bodies with the help of their Aadhaar Cards.
Naguachia SP Saroj said that the family members of the deceased have been informed.
“The bodies have been sent to Naugachia Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the actual reason of the accident, besides looking for the unidentified vehicle, with which the collision happened.”

One person died and four, including a sub inspector and two constables, were injured after their SUV, which was responding to an accident call, was hit by a four-wheeler in Hingna area of Nagpur. Two trucks had collided in Mondha area and the sub inspector led a team of two constables and some villagers in a SUV to the site for relief operations. However, the SUV was hit by a four wheeler and it overturned, killing one person and injuring four. A case of causing death by negligence, rash driving and other offences has been registered in connection with the accident, the Hingna police station official said.
