Guwahati: Two state government employees and a middleman were arrested by the vigilance and anti-corruption officers in 2 different districts while accepting bribes, police said.
The block development officer of Chamaria in Kamrup, Dipta Kantha Chamuah, and one computer assistant, Bhaskar Jyoti Dutta, were apprehended by the sleuths of vigilance and anti-corruption department on Monday while accepting Rs 8,000 from the complainant.In another instance, the sleuths caught Mandal Rajeev Saikia of the Bihpuria revenue circle office in Lakhimpur district while accepting Rs 6,000 from another complainant. The middleman, Dibyajyoti Deuri, was also apprehended.
