Nagpur: A patrolling team of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Nagpur, rescued a 13-year-old girl at Nagpur railway station while she trying to board a Bhopal-bound train with her boyfriend on Monday.
The girl, a native of Hingna tehsil, had befriended a youngster Chhindwara on Instagram some days ago. The girl and boy started chatting and grew close to each other.
The girl was miffed with her parents.She decided to leave home with her boyfriend and asked him to come to Nagpur. The girl had planned to leave for Madhya Pradesh with her boyfriend, said police.
The girl left home for school in her uniform and school bag, met the friend on the way before heading to the Nagpur railway station. GRP cops on patrolling duty smelled a rat on seeing the minor girl in school uniform and bag with a youngster at the Itarsi-end of platform no. 1. The teenagers were taken to GRP police station at the railway station.
