Marakkanam recorded the highest rainfall in the district with 194mm followed by Tindivanam (88), Gingee (68.3mm), Vanur (62), Semmedu (57.4mm) and Anandhapuram (55.2mm).
There was no loss of human life.No one was injured in any rain-related incidents.
Fourteen huts were partly damaged while one hut was fully damaged. Six goats, two cows and a calf were killed in rain-related incidents.
