Lucknow: The Lucknow Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (LGPC) on Thursday condemned the statement of Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu on the consecration of Ram temple.
LGPC President Rajendra Singh Bagga said Sikhs have been supporting the Ram Janmabhoomi temple since 15th century. “Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Tegh Bahadur had visited Ayodhya. A historic Gurdwara Brahma Kund is also situated near the religious city,” said Bagga.LGPC General secretary Harpal Singh Jaggi said Pannu is trying to destroy Hindu-Sikh brotherhood by making such derogatory statements. “The Sikh community requests the Indian government to take strict action against him,” said Jaggi.
