IIT-K MTech Student’s Suicide Note in Possession of Parents | Kanpur | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: In the IIT-K MTech student Vikas Meena’s suicide case, a suicide note, which was said to have been taken away by some students, is with the student’s parents.
Commissioner of Police Akhil Kumar said that when the suicide happened, few hostel inmates had visited the student’s room and found a suicide note.
“After that someone shot its photo and gave it to the boy’s parents.When the police asked his parents about the suicide note, they said that its hard copy was in their possession and they would hand it over to the police soon,” he said and added, “However, the parents of the student do not want any action against anyone with regard to his suicide.”
According to the police, the student’s handwriting will be matched once the hard copy is received. The soft copy of the suicide note has gone viral on social media. TOI however does not confirm the veracity of the viral video.
However, the contents of the soft copy of the viralled suicide note is as follows: “I tried, but I couldn’t… I should support my family but I am still living on my family’s money. Sorry for breaking your trust…I am just a failure, nothing more. Mother, take care of yourself and father too”
