Stalin denies rumours his son will be deputy CM | Chennai News – Times of India

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin dismissed Saturday rumours about state sports minister Udhayanidhi Stalin being elevated to deputy CM.
In a letter to the people on Pongal, Stalin said, “At a time when there is so much enthusiasm about the DMK youth wing conference (to be held on January 21), a section tried to spread rumours about my health. At the Tamil Diaspora Day function, I said when people were happy why should I be worried. I am happy and healthy. I am working, working and working. As one rumour failed, the next sprang up, about the elevation (of Udhayanidhi) as deputy CM. Udhayanidhi himself rubbished the rumours by saying all ministers are standing by the CM’s side. Party cadres should be careful to not give space to those deliberately trying to divert attention from the conference,” Stalin said.
