Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding reception was a star-studded affair with the biggest names in the industry assembling under one roof to congratulate the happy couple on their marriage. Prior to the grand reception, the newlywed couple posed together for the shutterbugs, while dad Aamir Khan joked that he had turned ‘AD’ for the evening and guided the two along the red carpet, as the paparazzi took their photos.
Before Ira and Nupur could head inside the venue for the celebrations, the young bride turned to her father and asked him to correct the photographers who were pronouncing her name incorrectly.
While the paparazzi and members of the media were calling the star kid “Ee-ra”, she could be heard saying, “Dad, ask them to pronounce my name correctly.”
That’s when Aamir was seen stepping up and telling the shutterbugs, “It’s Eye-ra… Eye-ra.”
This is not the first time that Ira had to correct people about pronouncing her name incorrectly. She previously had an Instagram live session to educate her fans and followers. She added that anyone who mispronounces would have to put Rs 5,000 in a swear jar which she would donate at the end of every month or year.
Ira shared the video with the caption, “Ira. Eye-ra. Nothing else,” and used the hashtag, ‘enough is enough’.
