Break Spent In Training, Teachers Seek Leaves | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: Teachers in the state have urged the directorate to provide them with compensatory leaves for the days they have been spending on training for Mission Karmyogi during their winter vacation.
School lecturers and assistant block resource coordinators have been deployed as master trainers in all districts to accomplish the training programme in the ongoing winter vacation, scheduled to conclude on January 15.
The teachers, who were appointed as master trainers, and the ones receiving training from them were not given their winter break.
The teachers have demanded compensatory leaves for the vacation time they lost during training, not only for the Mission Karmyogi training but also for the training of employees hired through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.
Head of the Haryana School Lecturers’ Association, Satpal Sindhu, said, “
“Teachers have been deprived of the winter vacation in January. We urge the department to sanction compensatory leaves, tantamount to the working days, for all the incumbents,” he added.
The school education department confirmed receiving a request from the association on behalf of all the teachers. “We have received the request. We are yet to make a decision,” said a senior official.
