Cops try to evict protesters from Raj University campus | Jaipur News – Times of India

Jaipur: The Jaipur police teams on Friday late night tried to remove a group of students demanding a delay in the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive (Mains) Exam 2023.
However, the protest continued at Rajasthan University (RU), and the city police issued a notice to the protesters to vacate the university complex as it was causing problems for students, especially those preparing for exams.”We have issued a notice to the protesters because they did not have permission to stage dharna at the university complex,” said an official.
The mains exams are scheduled to start from January 27 and will continue until January 28. The exam comprises four subjective papers and aims to select candidates for 424 posts allocated across 21 state services and 481 for 22 subordinate or allied services.
A delay in the RPSC’s main examination leads to an inevitable delay in interview sessions. On the other hand, candidates said that for the first time, less than three months have been given for the mains exam.
