Prayagraj: Senior administrative officials including divisional commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, Mela Adhikari (Kumbh Mela) Vijay Kiran Anand, Magh Mela officer Dayanand Prasad, ADM (Mela) Vivek Chaturvedi, along with seers including Mahant Yamuna Puri of Mahanirvani Akhara on Sunday cleaned the Bade Hanuman campus.
The saints also appealed devotees and pilgrims to make Mela clean and green.The senior officials also appealed visitors to make Magh Mela campus plastic free. The authorities of Magh Mela are promoting the use of jute & cotton bags, dona pattal and kulhar among visitors. Duties of around 30 magistrates have been assigned from city to Mela campus for elaborate arrangements. Police forces from different districts were also roped in for better crowd and traffic management.
Meanwhile, workers of Bharatiya Janata Party led by city mayor Ganesh Kesarwani cleaned the campus of Kydganj located at Mankameshwar temple. The workers also took out an awareness rally. On the occasion, Mayor said, “It’s our responsibilty to make city clean and green so that we could leave an ever lasting impression on visitors.”
