Jaisalmer: After the advisory issued by the Central government in regard to the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya on January 22 and Republic Day, special vigilance has been started at the international border adjoining Pakistan.
Border Security Force (BSF) has been put on high alert along the Indo-Pak border. It will start operation alert in the entire western border from January 19-27.In the 50km area of the international border, the BSF, along with police, will keep a special surveillance on old smugglers and anti-social elements in the border areas. Additional troops will be deployed at the sensitive areas.
DIG sector north Yogendra Singh Rathore said that BSF will initiate operation alert to deal with any untoward incidents across the border due to heavy fog and strict watch will be kept along the borders.
He said that security at the border will be made stricter and patrolling will be increased along with footprint checking will also be increased. Patrolling including foot, camel and vehicle will be done with ultra modern weapons. Vigil will be done using modern gadgets and additional security personnel will be deployed wherever there are gaps. TNN
