Man tries to run over kin for intervening in domestic row – Pune news | Pune News – Times of India

Pune: A Talegaon Dabhade resident has been booked for allegedly assaulting and trying to mow down his brother-in-law in Marunji on Monday.
The 29-year-old victim, who is currently being treated in an ICU ward of a private hospital, has lodged a complaint with the Hinjewadi police. A case of assault and an act endangering the life and personal safety of others have been registered in this connection.Hinjewadi police said the man is now on the run. As per the complaint, the incident happened after the victim intervened in a fight between the suspect and his wife. The victim stated in his complaint that his sister got married about seven months ago to the suspect. “Due to domestic issues, his sister had left her husband’s house,” an officer said.
“The suspect came to his flat and asked his sister to come back. When she refused, he started abusing her. Later, the man assaulted him and left,” he said. When the victim and his sister reached the parking lot of his society, the man dashed them with his car and tried to mow them down.
