As director Sriram Raghavan‘s Merry Christmas starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, completes its sixth day at the box office, the film is actively pursuing a target collection of Rs 15 crore.
The latest figures reveal a slight downturn in the film’s performance, with an estimated addition of Rs 1.15 crore to its box office earnings on Wednesday. The cumulative domestic box office collection for ‘Merry Christmas’ now stands at an approximately Rs 13.83 crore nett, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.
Breaking down the film’s daily earnings, it earned Rs 2.45 crore on the opening day, followed by Rs 3.45 crore and Rs 3.83 crore on the second and third days, respectively. Monday witnessed a dip in numbers, generating Rs 1.65 crore, followed by Rs 1.3 crore on Tuesday, bringing the five-day total to Rs 12.68 crore. The film will hope to hit the Rs 15 crore mark by the end of its first week at the box office. The Hindi version of ‘Merry Christmas’ includes Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, while the Tamil iteration features Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kevin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams in similar roles. Additionally, the film introduces Pari, a child actor.
With cameo appearances by Ashwini Kalsekar and Radhika Apte, ‘Merry Christmas’ continues to draw audience attention, with the team optimistic about reaching the Rs 15 crore milestone as it concludes its first week in theatres.
