Delhi to Patna Trains Delayed: Latest Updates | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Hundreds of Patna-bound passengers on long-distance mail and express trains were once again hit by train delays on Thursday. Bad weather and dense fog badly affected normal traffic operations in the entire north-central region on Delhi-Kanpur-Prayagraj-DDU-Patna mainline route.
While New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Tejas Rajdhani Express (12310) was delayed by four hours and 25 minutes, New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Terminal Sampoorna Kranti Express (12394) also reached Patna Junction four hours behind its schedule.
However, passengers travelling by New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Express (20280) were among the worst hit in the route as the train was delayed by eight hours when it reached Patna Junction. Passengers in sleeper class and general bogies suffered most due to the bad weather, railway sources said, adding that railways served the passengers meals and hot beverages.
The Lokmanya Tilak Mumbai-Patliputra Junction Express (12141) was delayed by 5 hours and the Durg-Rajendra Nagar Terminal reached here late by 4 hours and 43 minutes. Similarly, the New Delhi-Howrah Poorva Express (12304) was delayed by 5 hours when it reached Patna Junction.
Dense fog delayed the Anand Vihar-Bhagalpur Vikramshila Express (12368) by 3 hours and 20 minutes when it reached Patna Junction while the Anand Vihar-Madhupur Express (22466) was delayed by 3 hours and 23 minutes. Worst was the condition of passengers travelling by the New Delhi-Howrah Duronto Express (12274) which reached Patna Junction 27 hours and 41 minutes late, sources said.
The Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express (13484), Kamakhya-Anand Vihar North East Express (12506), Islampur-Hatia Express (18623), and several others were reported running abnormally late due to poor visibility in the Danapur division of the ECR.
