TN school principal held for sexually assaulting two girl students – Times of India

VILLUPURAM: The principal of a private school was arrested on Thursday on charges of sexually assaulting two Class X girl students in a village in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. The arrested principal has been identified as S Karthikeyan, 41.
The issue came to light when one of the girls gathered courage and told her parents that the school principal had been sexually harassing her for the past few months.
Her parents complained to the Villupuram all-women police, who booked Karthikeyan under Section 441 (criminal trespass) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 9 (aggravated sexual assault), 9 (f) (whoever being on the management or staff of an educational institution or religious institution, commits sexual assault on a child in that institution) and 10 (punishment for aggravated sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Pocso) Act, 2012.
