Jaipur: The engineers’ associations of the PHED had sent a letter to the new PHED minister Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary to form the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) as soon as possible. Members of the Rajasthan State Engineering Services Association (RSESA) are expected to meet the chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma soon with this request. “We are the only department of government where DPC had not formed till date.This is not only affecting the moral of the employee but is also affecting the day-to-day activities of the department. Around 20 employees pending for promotion this year had got retired without getting their promotion,” said Bhawnesh Kuldeep, the president of RSESA. tnn

PHED orders probe into firms under ED scanner
The public health and engineering department (PHED) in Jaipur has ordered a probe into projects being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Two firms, Ganapati and Shree Shyam, are accused of submitting fake documents to obtain work orders for projects under Bisalpur II schemes. The firms allegedly scammed Rs 900 crore in the Jal Jeevan Mission.
