Hyderguda Park Neglected: Residents Demand GHMC Action | Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: Green space of nearly 1,600 sq yards in Sanjeevani Hills colony in Hyderguda is in utter neglect, even after 10 years when civic authorities approved a proposal for a model park on the land.
Submerged in filth, local residents rue the green space is in shambles as the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has not taken up any works here.
Residents said around 300 sq yards of the park has been encroached as the colony’s welfare association is planning to build a community hall.
On Thursday, Nampally MLA Mohammed Majid Hussain wrote a letter to GHMC commissioner. He asked GHMC to plant trees, grass and provide light poles.
Responding to this, a GHMC official said: “We will inspect the park once the zonal commissioner gives a nod. We will sort out the issue during our field visit.”

Soon, maintenance of parks will be up to city residents
