Section 144 CrPC to be imposed in Noida during 21-26 January | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: Restrictions under CrPC Section 144 will be implemented in Noida and Greater Noida, announced the Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Saturday. These measures will be in effect from January 21 to 26, in light of the consecration ceremony at the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 and the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
The enforced restrictions, detailed in an order by Additional DCP (law and order) Hridesh Katheriya, encompass a ban on unlawful assembly of five or more people, unauthorized processions, and demonstrations, among other activities.
Katheriya explained, “The live telecast of Shri Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha is scheduled on January 22 along with a Diwali program. Additionally, the birth anniversary of late Hazrat Ali on January 25 and Republic Day celebrations on January 26. Some protests and demonstrations by various organizations and farmers are also proposed from time to time.”
Due to these events, there is a potential for the disturbance of peace by anti-social elements, and adequate arrangements need to be made for the safe conduct of authorized events, Katheriya noted.
To maintain peace and harmony in the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate, preventive measures are necessary to thwart any activities that may create an unfavorable environment, he emphasized. Considering the urgency and seriousness of the situation, the Additional DCP stated that, due to time constraints, it is not possible to provide a hearing opportunity to any other party. Therefore, this order is being passed ex-parte.
The order will be effective for six days, until January 26.
