Dombivli illuminates with 1,11,111 lamps in grand maha arti ahead of Ram temple consecration – Latest News | Mumbai News – Times of India

KALYAN: A day before the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, a maha arti and 1,11,111 lamps forming an image of Lord Ram were lit in Dombivli on Sunday.
The Maha Arti and Deepotsav program was organised by Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde.
It is said to be largest painting of Shree Ram along with Ayodhya Temple measuring 160 Feet in Width 160 in Height in a total of 25600 sq.ft using 1,11,111 Diyas (Oil Lamp Lights).
The portrait was designed by Rangoli Artist Chetan Raut and the Shivsena Youth Team Members.
During the Maha Aarti thousands of people from city participated.
For the Maha Aarti, 30 Pandits had come from Varanasi who performed the Maha Arti of Lord Shri Ram.
Apart from Shrikant Shinde, Maharashtra’s PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan also participated during program.
Shrikant Shinde said that the dream of Ram Mandir which the crores of Hindus of the country were dreaming of for the last 500 years, today that historic work is being completed in the country.
Apart from many social organisations from across the city, Shiv Sainiks and common citizens also participated to light the 1,11,111 lamps.
Many other programs were also organised in Kalyan Lok Sabha, which includes replica of Shri Ram Temple in Chakki Naka area of Kalyan, where thousands of people were seen taking darshan of Lord Shri Ram.
