New Delhi: All Delhi government offices will remain closed for half a day on January 22 on the occasion of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
An office memorandum issued by the services department of Delhi government stated that all offices of the state administration, autonomous bodies, boards, corporations, local bodies, and public sector undertakings (PSUs) would remain closed till 2.30pm to enable employees to participate in the celebration.
While several states have also declared Jan 22 as a dry day, there was no clarity as to whether liquor stores would remain closed in the capital as well. The directorate of education had yet to issue a separate order to announce if the schools would remain closed. TNN
