Man alleges being charged more for liquor and beaten up | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: A 30-year-old customer was allegedly thrashed by the staffers of a liquor shop near Signature Towers on Friday night after an altercation over the price of the liquor, police said on Saturday. Shiv Ratan, a resident of Delhi, sustained injuries and is getting treated at the general hospital in Sector 10.
In a police complaint, Ratan, said that he had visited the Brotherhood Wine Shop with his friend, Kapil, to purchase a bottle of Old Monk at 2am on Saturday.
“The salesman quoted a higher price. When I questioned them, the staffers started verbally abusing me, and suddenly six to seven people, including guards and salesmen of the liquor store, attacked me physically.” An FIR was registered under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intentions) of the IPC.
