Gurgaon: A man was handed the life term for raping a minor along with his friend in Nuh in 2019. The man is a neighbour of the 15-year-old girl.
The girl was sleeping in her house along with her sibling when the accused climbed the wall and entered the house. He and his friend covered her face, muzzled her voice, and kidnapped her.
The accused then took her to a house in the neighbourhood and raped her.She was rescued by her father when he heard her cries.
Public prosecutor Akash Tanwar said the accused were arrested at different times, and trials were conducted separately. One of the accused was already convicted by the court in October 2023. “We proved the case with medical and forensic evidence and statements of the victim and her family members,” said Tanwar.
Narender Pal, additional sessions judge of the fast-track special court for offences under the Pocso Act of Nuh, in his order on Saturday, said “the court observed from the oral evidence from the girl and medical evidence that it has been proved that accused Shahrukh alias Musa was involved in penetrative sexual assault along with co-accused Ansar”. The court handed life term to the accused and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000.
