Chennai: Chennai traffic police on Saturday held discussions with Mylapore residents about traffic snarls caused by metro rail phase-2 work in Thirumayilai. Around 70 residents attended the session. They shared these suggestions: Diverted routes should be free from road cuts, speed-breakers must be provided near schools which should also be encroachment-free, and roads must be relaid soon after work by Metrowater and Tangedco.tnn

Kolkata traffic police plans to use specialized traffic solutions using Google Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. This will further streamline pickup vehicles at school gates to prevent congestion. Staggered timings will be implemented during extreme weather conditions, and schools will be consulted before any changes are made.
