Aiims, Rml Reverse Orders On Half Day | Delhi News – Times of India

New Delhi: Amid a massive row on social media, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital have reversed their decision to remain closed until 2:30pm on Monday in view of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya.
In a memorandum issued on Sunday, AIIMS administrative officer said, “In continuation with the circular dated Jan 20, OPD shall remain open to attend to patients with appointments in order to prevent any inconvenience to them and facilitate patient care.All critical clinical care services shall remain operational. All chiefs of centres, heads of the departments, units and branch officers are requested to bring this to the notice of all staff working under them.”
The RML Hospital administration too revoked its earlier order of Jan 20, which stated that OPD and lab services would remain closed till 2:30pm.
Meanwhile, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Smt Sucheta Kripalani and Kalavati Saran Hospital, and Safdarjung Hospital have stated that their OPDs would remain functional on Jan 22 with patient registration from 8 to 10 am and that all registered patients would be attended to.
Earlier, AIIMS had announced a half-day closure of the institution on Jan 22.
