Jaipur: Out-patient department (OPD) in government hospitals will shut early on Monday, the day on which Ramlalla’s consecration ceremony in Ayodhya takes place.
Normally, Mondays witness more crowd of patients for treatment in government hospitals. Hospitals remain open from 9am to 3pm on working days but on Monday, they will remain open from 9am to 11am.
The order issued on Sunday, stated, “Though the government has announced holiday till 2pm on Monday for government offices but keeping in mind the emergency services, it has been decided to keep OPDs open for two hours in the morning for the patients.”
SMS Hospital too will close the OPD early. “Following the government’s order, the doctors will remain in OPD till 11am. But, emergency services will remain open,” said Dr Achal Sharma, medical superintendent, SMS Hospital.
Directorate of medical and health services ESI scheme, made correction in its earlier order related to OPD timing on Monday.
